- Black Bead Eyes: Most every character has these eyes.
- Cartoon Creature: Every single character in this series. However, you can make out the normal animal features of at least a few of the characters. Wubbzy even insists that he isn't an animal when he was interviewed that one time.Wubbzy: I'm not an animal, I'm Wubbzy!

- Ridiculously Cute Critter: Look at 'em! Awwww!

Main four
Wubbzy

- Voice actor: Grey DeLisle (US), Janet James (UK)
The titular main character of the show. According to the show's bible, he represents the pure child who solves problems with his child-like simplicity and sees the world through untainted eyes. He loves to play with his friends. He is also the only one of the main four with a tail.
- Affectionate Nickname: "Little buddy" and "Wubbster" are the two nicknames Widget would sometimes call Wubbzy. In the UK version, she calls him "little Wubbzy" instead of "little buddy".
- Big, Thin, Short Trio: Prior to Season 2, he’s the short to Walden's thin and Widget's big.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: He sometimes talks to the audience.
- Cartoony Tail: He has a prehensile, apparently shock-absorbent tail that either works as an extra hand or a bouncy spring. It is also mentioned a bunch of times to be highly flexible."Wubbzy lives in a tree, he likes to play play play! He's got a bendy tail and he likes it that way!"
- Catchphrase: "Wow" is his favorite word, as he said it a lot of times, usually as a greetingnote or a form of amazement. He also used the word to greet the viewers in the Theme Tune.
- Cheerful Child: He is very cheery and playful.
- Does Not Like Spam: According to a rare interview, he isn't old enough to like brussel sprouts.
- Dub Name Change: In the Arabic dub, he's renamed "Farhan," which translates to Happy. His Arabic voice is also deeper than his American voice.
- Funny Animal: He slightly resembles a gerbil.
- The Klutz: Wubbzy is prone to accidents and getting himself into trouble, many times.
- Nice Guy: He's very sweet and kindhearted to others.
- Partially Civilized Animal: He was this in The Tail of Flopsy, Mopsy, and Ted, though back then he was Mopsy.
- Picky Eater: In "Too Much of a Doodle Thing", where he only wants to eat doodleberries and dismisses his friends' suggestions to eat other foods when he's unable to find anymore. Only at the climax when he accidentally grows doodleberry bushes all over Wuzzleburg with Daizy's magic grow spray does he finally decide that he's sick of eating doodleberries.
- Prehensile Tail: His tail can do including but not limited to:
- Wrapping around objects
- Being used as a Spring Coil to bounce himself like Tigger.
- And it's even focused on in A Tale of Tails.
- Series Continuity Error: In Perfecto Party, Wubbzy was shown to be allergic to marshmallows. In every other episode where Wubbzy is shown eating a marshmallow, there's no allergic reaction.
- Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: The Tiny Guy to Daizy's (slightly) Huge Girl.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Anything that has doodleberries in it. He also likes grapity-grape juice.
- Vocal Evolution: His voice was in a low pitched in the first half of the first season, then during the second half of the same season, his voice started to get higher. In the second season, his voice sounds deeper than the first season.
- Yellow Is Cheerful: He has bright yellow fur, and he is as bouncy as his tail.
Widget

- Voice actor: Lara Jill Miller (US), Julie-Ann Dean (UK)
The Gadgeteer Genius with rabbit-like ears and the owner of her own fix-it shop. Widget seems to be the "go-do-it-now" type of person. When she sees a problem she can solve, she either introduces her friends to a machine she designed for such situation, or she sets to work on building a new invention. However, no matter how simple the problem may be, she tends to build some sort of overly-complicated invention. She speaks with a Southern accent.
- Advanced Tech 2000: Widget names her inventions with the number "3000" tacked onto the end.
- Big, Thin, Short Trio: Prior to Season 2, she’s the big to Walden's thin and Wubbzy's short.
- Butt-Monkey: Only when it comes to her inventions, she usually fails or her inventions go awry.
- Catchphrase: When she sees a problem she can solve, she says "No problemo!", and she has a variant ("Big problemo") when she realizes she underestimated the situation. There's also "That's not supposed to happen"/"That wasn't supposed to happen", said when her machines fail.
- Complexity Addiction: No matter how simple the task may be, Widget will set to work on (or introduce, if she's already built it) a ridiculously complex gadget which tends to fail quite often.
- Dub Name Change: In the Arabic dub, she's renamed "Wardi," which translates to Pinky and her name is changed to "Ticha" in the European Portuguese dub.
- Expy: Hmmm, a Gadgeteer Genius mammal who is close friends with a happy-go-lucky yellow character with a southern accent. Are we talking about Widget or Sandy Cheeks?
- Funny Animal: Going by the long ears, she kind of looks like a rabbit.
- Gadgeteer Genius: Her personality. Her part of the show's Theme Tune even explains this.
- Iconic Item: And that would be a wiggle wrench. In fact, her wiggle wrench is a major story element in Where's My Wiggle Wrench?.
- Inexplicably Tailless: Played straight in the series but subverted when she was first designed as "Flopsy"note .
- Pink Is Feminine: Downplayed. She has pink fur, has pink shortalls and a white shirt with pink on the sleeves. While she is quite feminine in her own way due to her liking ballet, she's more into inventing things.
- Robot Me: In Gidget the Super-Robot, Widget makes a robot twin.
- Rough Overalls: Widget, being a Gadgeteer Genius, normally wears pink shortalls.
- Rube Goldberg Device: She does make overly-complicated machines for something as trivial as straightening a picture frame.
- The Smurfette Principle: She was the only main female character in the show until Season 2 came along, where Daizy joins the cast.
- Southern-Fried Genius: She speaks with a very thick Southern accent and happens to be the most technologically adept character on the show.
- Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: The Huge Girl to Walden's Tiny Guy.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Tomboy (a Gadgeteer Genius) to Daizy's Girly Girl (a girly gardener).
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Despite the fact that she likes to invent gadgets, she also likes girly things such as ballet.
- White Bunny: In a setting where most rabbits are white, she is colorfully averted by being pink.
Walden

- Voice actor: Carlos Alazraqui (US), Wayne Forester (UK)
The quirky Omnidisciplinary Scientist. Walden has a passionate curiosity for everything and views the world in a unique way. He has been shown to help his friends by reading books and using science, though the Theme Tune implies he knows about art as well.
- Big, Thin, Short Trio: Prior to Season 2, he’s the thin to Widget's big and Wubbzy's short.
- Beary Friendly: According to The Other Wiki, he's an overall nice bear.
- Bookworm: Books happen to be part of his specialties. Wubbzy stated in an interview that he got smart through reading books.
- Catchphrase: His well known catchphrase is "Think, think, think!" He also uses "Yes, yes, yes!", "My, my, my!", and "Very interesting!"
- A Day in the Limelight: He's the star of the episode Mr. Cool. Walden is also the only character that was able to star in his own music video
. - Dub Name Change: In the Arabic dub, he's renamed "Nedel," Which translates to Jerky and his name is changed to "Valter" in the European Portuguese dub.
- Dub Personality Change: In the Arabic dub, he's more of a selfish, cranky jerk.
- Funny Animal: It is unclear what Walden is even meant to be, though The Other Wiki says that he is a bear.
- Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: He normally does not wear any pants.
- Nerd Glasses: He has a large, thick, round pair and, needless to say, they match his nerdy personality.
- Omnidisciplinary Scientist: The Theme Tune says it all:"Walden is his friend, he's really smart, he knows about science and books and art..."
- The Smart Guy: The theme song says it all. He knows about pretty much everything.
- Smart People Speak the Queen's English: Walden speaks with a British accent, and is the only character in the show to have a non-American accent. In addition, his voice sounds very similar to Scooter (surfer fish), who even shares the same voice actor.
- Speaks Fluent Animal: Throughout the show, Walden is shown to be able to speak different types of animal languages, such as Speckled Flying Frogs and glowflies. He often uses this ability to help his friends out, like when he uses a Speckled Flying Frog in Wubbzy in the Woods to help find Wubbzy.
- Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: The Tiny Guy to Widget's Huge Girl.
Daizy

- Voice actor: Tara Strong (US), Lynn Cleckner (UK)
A dog-like Girly Girl introduced in season 2 with it's premiere, Who's That Girl?. She is considered to be Wubbzy's opposite, being smart, patient, graceful, and girly.
- Adaptational Early Appearance: She appears as a playable character in the Attack of the 50-Foot Fleegle V.Smile game, but she wasn't in the actual episode because she wasn't introduced yetnote .
- All Girls Like Ponies: In the episode Call of the Mild, she sees a unihornnote and wants to play dress up with it.
- Bows for Cuteness: She wears a bow on the top of her head to emphasize her girliness.
- Caring Gardener: She loves to plant flowers. Her gardening talent was a focus in Daizy's Purple Thumb.
- Catchphrase: "Lavender lollipops!"
- Cousin Oliver: Non-aging example. Daizy does not appear in the first season; in episodes after her introduction she is hilariously wedged into the Theme Tune by changing the line "and when they are together the fun never ends" to "and when they're with Daizy the fun never ends".
- Dub Name Change: In the Arabic dub, she's renamed "Dee Dee."
- Floral Theme Naming: Her name is just "daisy" but with a z instead of an s.
- Flowers of Femininity: She's extremely true to the trope - if her name didn't make things obvious enough, she has two flowers in her hair holding her pigtails up, her normal ballerina dress displays a flower on the front, and she even lives in a flower.
- Funny Animal: She vaguely looks like a dog.
- Genki Girl: She's always very cheerful and energetic.
- Girlish Pigtails: She has a pair of pigtails, and she is indeed very girly.
- Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: Daizy is a sweet girl who loves flowers, ballet, and unihorns, among other feminine pursuits. However, she does like playing kickety-kick ball, and she is shown to be just as good as Wubbzy, the best kickety-kickball player in town, when she plays.
- Graceful Ladies Like Purple: She has purple hair, and you can't deny how graceful she can be when she dances ballet and plays kickety-kick ball.
- Never Bareheaded: Daizy usually doesn't change her hair from the normal pigtails (except in Meet the Wuzzles, though she was not seen with her hair down). She even sleeps with her hair still in pigtails and with her hair decorations. The only time she even had her hair down was in one scene of the music video You Are You.
- Odd Name Out: She is the only main character whose name does not start with a W.
- Pink Means Feminine: Most of her outfits, including the ballerina dress she normally wears, are pink in color, and she's much more feminine than Widget.
- Promotion to Opening Titles: The theme song is rewritten slightly to add a line to introduce her and has a scene changed to add her with an addition in the ending of the theme, starting in the second season.
- Puppy Love: A more literal case here. In the ending of the episode "Cupid's Little Helper", she confesses her feelings to Wubbzy and gives him a kiss.
- Signature Headgear: A flower holding up each pigtail and a pink bow for her normal outfit.
- Sixth Ranger: Becomes friends with Wubbzy in her debut episode, and is implied to have joined the team from that point on.
- Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: The Huge Girl to Wubbzy's (slightly) Tiny Guy.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Girly Girl (graceful, loves unihorns and ballet) to Widget's Tomboy.
- Twinkle Smile: Daizy has white clean teeth that sparkle in Who's That Girl?
Minor Characters
The Kooky Kid

- Voice actor: Grey DeLisle
- Catchphrase: He always walks by saying "Kooky!" when something weird happens. In the UK and French dubs, however, he instead says "Crazy!" and "Bizarre!" respectively.
- Flat Character: Outside of his Running Gag, he doesn't really have much of a personality.
- No Name Given: He was never given a name.

- Color-Coded Characters: Huggy is blue, Buggy is cyan, and Earl is orange.
- Dub Name Change: Earl is "Puggy" or "Muggy" in other dubs.
- Rhyme Theme Naming: Two of the trio are named Huggy and Buggy. Some other dubs rename Earl into a "Puggy" or "Muggy" to complete the rhyming scheme.
- Satellite Character: They exist to be an extra group of friends for Wubbzy.
- Those Two Guys: In this case, it's group of three not usually seen separately.
- Two Guys and a Girl: Buggy and Earl are the guys while Huggy is the girl.
- Vague Age: Earl, because he looks older than Huggy and Buggy, while the latter two are around Wubbzy or Widget's age.
The Wubb Girlz (Shine, Sparkle, and Shimmer)

The trio as a whole
- Alphabetical Theme Naming: All of their names start with an "S" and also have something to do with light.
- Girl Group: All three are popular singers all over Wuzzlewood and Wuzzleburg.
- Non-Standard Character Design: While all female characters do have eyelashes, the Wubb Girlz have uniquely designed eyelashes compared to other members of the cast.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Following the Wubb Idol arc, they never appear again.
Shine
The leader of the group
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Of the Three, Shine is one who's actually more so a reference to her voice actress, Beyoncé
- Big Bad: Is the cause of Wuzzlantis’ becoming forgotten in the first place.
- A Dog Named "Dog": The term “Snappity-Snap Fish” seems to be the name of the species of fish he is, and he’s exclusively referred by that.
- Final Boss: He appears at the end of the game as its final boss.
- Green and Mean: He’s a green fish that turned an entire population into stone.
- The Napoleon: Without his gear, he’s a hilariously tiny fish, something that he takes major embarrassment in.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: His single eye is red, and he turned an entire city’s worth of people into stone. Not the kind of guy you’d be willing to play poker with on Sundays.
- Red Is Violent: He dons a red suit and he uses it to turn dozens into stone statues, and Wuzzlantis itself has been the site of many fish bones after he took over.
- Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: Notably, his evil plan is rather grim for a lighthearted cartoon like this, effectively killing an entire population and leaving a city abandoned for years. Downplayed, as his defeat is presented comically.
