Buffycats
As a Whole

Four kittens who have a musical band.
- Badass Adorable: They are cute kittens who are able to fight, have superpowers, and even have their own Transformation Sequence.
- Cool Cat: Lampo and Milady are the coolest, but they all qualify, since they are brave, heroic, and have a music band.
- Cute Kitten: The four Buffycats are adorable and innocent kittens, although it's downplayed with Meatball who is much bigger than the others.
- Even the Loving Hero Has Hated Ones: They get along with almost everyone, but they dislike Boss and his minions, who always act like bullies.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: Lampo is Choleric (the confident Hot-Blooded leader), Milady is Melancholic (practical, perfectionist), Pilou is Sanguine (cheerful and friendly), and Meatball is Phlegmatic (lazy Big Eater).
- Friend to All Living Things: The Buffycats are willing to befriend anyone who needs help and friendship. They are friends with almost all the cats but also other animals (including dogs and mice) and some humans.
- Gender-Equal Ensemble: Lampo and Meatball are boys, Milady and Pilou are girls.
- Power-Up Food: They can gain powers and energy after eating noodles made by Granny Pina.
- True Companions: They live together, do everything together, and are always there for each other.

- Blue Is Heroic: He has blue markings on his body and is one of the main heroes.
- Hot-Blooded: Lampo has a lot of energy and passion in everything he does.
- The Leader: The lead singer and the face of the Buffycats band.
- Meaningful Name: Lampo means "lightning" in Italian, and he has a blue lightning on his face and a yellow lightning on his T-shirt.
- The Navigator: He can use his whiskers as compass, and they help him to know where he needs to go at the moment.
- Nice Guy: Despite being overly impulsive at times, Lampo is one of the friendliest cats in town.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The athletic and confident Manly Man to Meatball's awkward and cowardly Sensitive Guy.
- Small Name, Big Ego: He often can be overconfident about his skills, especially when he is in competition with someone else.

The bassist of the Buffycats.
- Action Girl: She has martial arts skills after training with the Cat-fu Master Cato.
- Cats Are Snarkers: All the Buffycats are kittens, but she is the one who snarks the most at the others.
- The Fashionista: Milady is a huge fashion lover, and that's why she is a fan of Ambrogio, the cat version of a fashion designer.
- Little Miss Badass: The most athletic and badass of all the Buffycats, and she is just a small kitten.
- Living Lie Detector: Her fur turns pink when somebody is lying.
- Only Sane Woman: Of the Buffycats she's the most mature, given that Lampo is too impulsive, Pilou is too young, and Meatball is Obsessed with Food all the time.
- Passionate Sports Girl: She is especially good at gymnastics and martial arts.
- Pink Means Feminine: Milady has a pink bass guitar, pink sunglasses, and a pink belt. This fits since she loves fashion.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The tough and strict Tomboy to Pilou's sweet and cutesy Girly Girl. Downplayed, since Milady has a big girly streak too.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She is a tough tomboy and a fashion-loving girly girl at the same time. However, her tomboyish interests (sports, martial arts, spy movies) are highlighted more often than her love for fashion.
Pilou

Voiced by: Joy Saltarelli (Italian), Simona Berman (English)
The drummer of the Buffycats.
- The Baby of the Bunch: The youngest and the sweetest of the Buffycats. However, while she has some childish interests, she is not actually the most immature of the group (Meatball is).

- Puppy-Dog Eyes: Being the cutest kitten, Pilou can distract villains using her wide eyes.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The sweet and cutesy Girly Girl to Milady's tough and strict Tomboy. Milady has a girly side too, but Pilou is more open about it.
- Wise Beyond Their Years: Pilou is regularly shown to be smart for her age, especially compared to the other young kittens like Baby Pie.
Meatball

Voiced by: Francesco Falco (Italian), Erica Schroeder (English, speaking), Samuel Vincent (English, singing)
Meatball (Polpetta in Italian) is the keyboardist of the Buffycats.
- Big Eater: His main characteristic. He loves eating and he is always hungry.
- Butt-Monkey: The most unlucky of the Buffycats. The others are more agile than him, and Meatball always has clumsy accidents due to his size.
- Cowardly Lion: He is a bit of a coward at times, but also able to overcome his fears to help his friends.
- Fat Comic Relief: The fattest of the Buffycats, and also the silliest and the clumsiest. A common running gag is him being obsessed with food.
- Fat Idiot: Other than being overweight, he is usually the least intelligent of the protagonists. He also lacks the maturity of the others since he talks about food even in serious situations.
- Gentle Giant: One of the biggest cats, but he means well and would never hurt anyone.
- Obsessed with Food: He talks about food all the time.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The awkward and cowardly Sensitive Guy to Lampo's athletic and confident Manly Man.
- Spider-Sense: He can sense danger when he is hungry for spaghetti and meatballs.
- Trademark Favorite Food: He loves all kind of food, but especially spaghetti and meatballs. He is even named after them.
- Virtuous Character Copy: Being a large orange tabby who is lazy, gluttonous, and fond of Italian pasta, he comes off as a nicer version of Garfield.

A cat who often bullies the Buffycats, his neighbors.
- The Bully: His favorite hobby is bullying the Buffycats.

- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: As cruel as he is, he genuinely cares about his owner Winston.
- Evil Counterpart: To Lampo. Both are overcompetitive and overconfident. Unlike the good-natured Lampo, Boss always plays dirty to win.
- Failure Is the Only Option: He always fails when he tries to sabotage the Buffycats.
- For the Evulz: Boss torments the Buffycats just because he enjoys being cruel and no other reason. Even more confusing, since it always backfires on him.
- Jerkass: The meanest character in the series, and the cat equivalent of a school bully.
- Meaningful Name: His two minions Blister and Scab treat him as their boss. Indeed, he is very bossy.
- Right-Hand Cat: To Winston, the main human villain. However, Boss is the only cat that Winston doesn't hate.

- Kindhearted Cat Lover: The caring owner of four kittens.
