I posted a variation of this image recently. Norwegian Prima launched in summer 2021.

This is technically the newest hull in the boro, but I’m not going to call it that because it is itinerant. This was her departure today after her NYC boros debut in advance of her christening next week. Technically, it’s a Prima Plus vessel, i.e., among other things an amusement park afloat. Three more are in the pipeline, the last two–unnamed– even larger than Prima and Aqua.

The hull art here is called “…sea meets sky.” I thought NYPD was trying to pull the ship over for excessive polychromatic noise. You can even see Jaume Plensa’s Water Soul sculpture shushing the ship.

I might like Allison Hueman’s style, but not on a ship’s hull, imho.

I overheard the Statue say some colorful words in French, but quite possibly she was irked about more substantial things. She doesn’t channel Emma Lazarus these days.

All photos and opinions, any errors, WVD.
