Sequoyah Matching Game

To celebrate the 225th anniversary of the Cherokee syllabary, play this fun matching game! Sequoyah, who was born in the land that became Tennessee, created his syllabary so that the Cherokee people could record their customs, laws, and traditions for the generations to come. Play the game by cutting out the pieces, laying them face down, and picking them up to make a match! As you color your game pieces, you will find the Cherokee letter and the pronunciation on the pictures. Download the game here.
