Edit, update, or cancel your recurring donation

In this article:

As a supporter, you can edit, update, and cancel your recurring donation through your GoFundMe Pro Supporter page. To do so:

  1. Sign in to your account using the email address you entered when you donated
  2. Select the organization you donated to
  3. Select Recurring donations
  4. Select Manage donation under the donation you wish to edit

Under Donation details, you can adjust:

  • Donation amount
  • Whether to cover transaction fees
  • Frequency
  • Next donation date
  • End date

Update payment method

Under Payment details of your donation, select Change payment to update the credit card on file or switch to bank transfer.

Note: We check all payment methods when they are updated. If the information is invalid you cannot save that payment method.

Manage recurring donation

Retry a recurring donation

When you miss a recurring donation, you can update your payment details and retry the donation. To retry a missed recurring donation, go to your donation and select Retry. Once you update your payment details, select Retry Donation to process your recurring donation.

Cancel or pause a recurring donation

If you wish, you can cancel your recurring donation. Simply go to your recurring donation and select Cancel donation. You’ll also have the option to pause your monthly donation for up to three months instead.

Note: You can only pause monthly donations and not any other recurring frequency.

Reactivate a recurring donation

When you cancel a recurring donation, you can always reactivate it again later.

To reactivate a recurring donation, go to your canceled recurring donation and select Reactivate donation.

When you reactivate a donation, you can update all its information, including:

  • Amount
  • Frequency
  • Next donation date
  • End date
  • Payment method

What do I do if I've never logged into GoFundMe Pro before?

You may still need to create an account if this is your first time logging into your GoFundMe Pro account. To do so, go to GoFundMe Pro and select Sign In and Create an account. Be sure to use the same email address you gave when you set up your donation.

I can't edit my donation

If you followed the steps in this article and cannot edit your donation, we recommend that you contact the organization you support.

The page is not loading. What should I do?

If you use Safari as your web browser, you may need to turn off cross-site tracking. If you use another browser, you may need to clear your cache.

Why did my recurring donation fail?

An expired credit card is the most common cause of a failed recurring donation. To fix the issue, update your credit card information using the steps above. You may also need to update your billing address if you've recently moved.

We recommend that you contact your card issuer or bank for help if your card information and billing address are current.
