Homer, the kids, and Grandpa are all sitting together in the living room. Lisa starts, saying, "Just think, sitting right here are three generations of Simpsons." Bart replies, "What a nightmarish concept," which annoys Homer. Grandpa, in turn, gets mad at Homer for being hard on Bart. Lisa chimes in, "Yeah, Dad," causing Homer to shift his frustration to her, only for Grandpa to step in and defend Lisa. Bart then adds, "Yeah, Homer," leading to Homer’s frustration boiling over again and Grandpa’s renewed irritation with him.
The bickering intensifies when Lisa tells Maggie to quit squeaking her toy and nudges her. Bart shoves Lisa, Homer shoves Bart, and Grandpa smacks Homer with a rolled-up newspaper to keep them all in check. They eventually agree to stop fighting and embrace in a group hug, each trying to forgive the other. But Bart, still a bit miffed, says he won’t forgive Homer unless he uses a breath mint. Homer snaps, leading him to strangle Bart, which causes Grandpa to strangle Homer, and suddenly, they’re all in a playful chokefest.
Lisa and Maggie, meanwhile, watch in disgust, concluding that they’re perhaps more Bouvier than Simpson after all.
