SDIS is home to a growing ecosystem of centers and campus-wide networks that are all connected by an interest in rigorous inquiry at the intersection of data, information and society. Whether you’re a researcher looking for community, a student seeking a research home or a partner exploring collaboration, there’s a place to get connected.

The Center for Information, Technology and Public Life

The Center for Information, Technology and Public Life (CITAP) is an interdisciplinary, collaborative hub dedicated to facilitating critical social science research that explores the impacts of emerging technologies, media, and information systems on society. By interrogating the stakes of power at the crossroads of the industries reshaping every aspect of humanity, we put the impact on public life at the center of our inquiry.
