Locus Awards
Tagged: Award.
These were created in 1971 by Charles N Brown, publisher and editor of Locus Magazine: The Journal of the Science Fiction Field. Awarded annually, they are voted for by readers of the magazine. The Locus Awards have some claim to present the fullest range of reader and professional response of any sf or fantasy Award. Initially they excluded either fantasy or horror as specific categories; the listing below starts in 1978, when the Fantasy Novel category began. Awards are given for work published in the previous calendar year. [JC]
