Spoilers for Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time #3! Marvel’s Merc With a Mouth, Deadpool, has been giving the heroes and villains of its sprawling comic book universe a hard go of it for decades now, with his cringe humor, fourth-wall-breaking commentary, and violent tendencies adding up to a truly unique character that fans can’t seem to get enough of. Now that Wade is back on his grind trying to murder and maim anyone who crosses his path, Deadpool has received a new set of powers that turn him into a one-man wrecking crew of Avengers-level potential.

Expanding on the violent premise of the “Deadpool Killology” series, which started with 2012’s Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, continued in Deadpool Killustrated, and concluded with Deadpool Kills Deadpool, Marvel eventually released Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again in 2017, a miniseries set in a completely separate continuity from the first. Acting as the latest continuation to these stories, the current Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time mini reunites original creators, writer Cullen Bunn and artist Dalibor Talajić, with its third issue officially turning Deadpool into a magic and gamma-powered being capable of taking down Red Hulk!

After successfully destroying the Marvel Universe, Deadpool is tasked by a dimensional traveler named Alphea with killing various multiversal targets to save all of reality. Murdering his way across alternate earths, Deadpool tracks down the X-Men’s Magik and, after convincing her to teach him her dark craft, kills her too. Next deading a Ghost Rider variant, Deadpool acquires the powers of the Spirit of Vengeance and moves to challenge Red Hulk. Getting a Hulk-sized boost thanks to the Intelligencia’s “gamma radiation tank,” Deadpool unleashes the power of Magik, Ghost Rider, and Hulk to take out Red Hulk in brutal fashion.

Already utilizing a shield from a defeated Hydra-Werewolf Captain America and the Venom symbiote of a murdered Spider-Doppelganger, Deadpool gains an even bigger advantage after adding magic, fiery chains, and gamma-infused power to his usual healing abilities and mercenary skills, turning this Deadpool into one of the strongest variants in the entire multiverse. Killing Red Hulk with Magik’s Soulsword after summoning a demonic beast to bind him, this particular scene perfectly encapsulates the R-rated and over-the-top nature of Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe’s continuity while giving fans a Deadpool who could take on all of the Avengers and then some.

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time still has two more issues left in its five-issue run, and after Deadpool harnessed the power of a Hulk for a brief moment, it can only be guessed what Wade will be capable of by the time this miniseries concludes, to say nothing about the brutal violence he’ll have inflicted by the time the final page is turned. It has been proven before that the Marvel Universe is no match for Deadpool when he’s hellbent on seeing blood spilled, so here’s hoping someone survives to tell the tale of his latest rampage.
