About TC Phillips

TC Phillips is a speculative fiction author and founder of Australian-based indie publishing house Specul8 Publishing. In addition to writing for Supanova Comic-Con, Australia's largest pop-culture convention, he first joined Screen Rant as a Core News writer in 2021.

Author Details

Fascinated by the art of storytelling in all its manifestations, when he's not busy proclaiming his unabashed love for the work of his favorite filmmakers and television creators, he's struggling to find the time to make it through his ever-growing watch list.

Industry Focus

TC tends to gravitate toward discussing films and television series with an element of the strange, bizarre or fantastical. Whether it is sci-fi, fantasy or historical fiction, he relishes the opportunity to champion the work of visionary creatives who look beyond the mundane.

Favorite Media

The task of reading through TC's complete list of favorite films and television series would probably take even the most committed individual far too long, and that time would likely be far better spent watching the next amazing thing to hit your screen. That said, he's loved Star Wars since he was a kid and the '90s indie movie scene changed him forever. He will also happily waffle on ad nauseam about his love of The Magicians.
