Following the meeting, Adrien Keys, Finder of Lost Mushrooms, will talk about the many things we should know if we plan to go with him into the wilds tracking down these wayward mushrooms. For example, he's found over the years that while mushrooms can certainly lend a gourmet touch to your cooking that they actually make very poor pets. If you have questions about our fungi friends that you've been too embarrassed to ask your parents this is the place to get those details. Then be first in line to sign up for a mushroom foraging foray with Adrien which happens on NOV 11. All HGA events are free and open to public. HGA are the folks who brought you the Small Farm and Garden Show. Come and share their vision for the future of farming in Hayfork Valley and Trinity County. Are you interested in getting certified to sell products at Hayfork or Weaverville Farmers Market? They can help. Both markets are looking for vendors of fruits & vegetables, honey, herbs, eggs, nuts, plants, flowers, and locally produced cheese, baked goods, wine, jams & jellies and other agricultural products, as well as locally produced crafts. They hold their membership meetings at Northern Delights at 7pm on first Thursday each month. More info: call Bobbie Chadwick at 628-9429 or email [email protected].
