We’re always looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to join our dedicated volunteer team and help bring the Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival to life.
Volunteers play a vital role in creating the welcoming, relaxed and high-quality experience the festival is known for — supporting audiences, artists and the wider team, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly across the town.

In return, we ask for your support across agreed shifts during the festival. You’ll be fully briefed, supported throughout, and can expect a friendly, collaborative atmosphere — with plenty of great music along the way.
Volunteer Roles
Stewarding & Front of House Support
Welcome visitors, assist with ticket checking seating, directions and help ensure venues are safe, comfortable and running smoothly.
Outdoor Stage Marshals
Support the smooth operation of our outdoor performances, helping guide audiences, manage crowd flow and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
Donation Team
Engage with festival-goers during free performances to encourage donations via buckets and card readers. A warm, approachable manner and confidence speaking with the public are key.
