Web & Brand Design
Welcome. I’m Brad Hogan and I build websites for nonprofits and small businesses. My typical project involves re-designing a website that often has a confusing, clunky design that my client has a hard time managing let alone making it look good and do the things they need it to do.
My goal with every project is to not only create a gorgeous design, but also to make the website easy to manage.

The High Route is a subscription-based online and print magazine focused on human-powered travel in the mountains.
Like all good things, I met Brad on the skintrack somewhere up Big Cottonwood Canyon. The conversation turned to the usual “what do you do for work?” banter. Brad eventually visited The High Route website and came back with some excellent constructive feedback. Our too-busy site needed to be simplified. Furthermore, behind the scenes of our homepage, we were operating a complex subscription system—we managed our print subscriptions and our website subscriptions on two separate platforms. Not ideal. In building out our new site, Brad helped us present a cleaner, more refined look on the homepage (and navigation overall), while also organizing and executing a complex data migration from the old to the new site—with the goal of migrating our members into a single subscription management system. It is easy to say this would not have happened without Brad. His vision for the site combines his creativity with the technical expertise to bring it all together. He comes highly recommended.

Save Our Canyons is a Utah nonprofit dedicated to protecting and preserving the Wasatch Mountains.
I have worked with Brad to build two websites now for two different organizations I work with and on both occasions he has gone above and beyond our expectations. He has been able to understand what we are trying to communicate to our members and help us turn that into a well designed and easy to navigate website. From being able to integrate action forms to building out a store, he is willing and patient to figure out how to make it all work. I highly recommend hiring Brad for building your WordPress site as well as keeping him on retainer to help you troubleshoot issues that may arise.

Wasatch Backcountry Alliance is the recognized voice for the backcountry community involved in human-powered winter recreation in the Central Wasatch Mountains.
The website for our scrappy non-profit was thrown together over the years and the lack of organization and difficulty in finding information on the site meant our message was lost on most visitors. Brad stepped up to wrangle this mess into a modern, well designed, and well organized site that showcases the mission and primary programs of our group. Brad guided us every step of the way in a truly collaborative process to tear down and rebuild the site while maintaining the history and content that had accumulated in it. We highly recommend his skills and services to others.

Paper Plate BBQ brings mouth-watering barbecue to Eugene, Oregon.
Isaiah came to me because he hit the limit on what he could achieve with his DIY website. His barbecue and catering business is growing and he needed a website that not only represented his food and service quality, but made it more streamlined for people to request catering.
Our biggest goals were to make the site easy for customers to find the current menu and to streamline the catering order process.
