WordPress Origin Story

I started using WordPress in 2009, using wordpress.com to replace a site built previously using mostly PHP includes. After a year I needed to switch to self-hosting using wordpress.org to allow me to customize the site the way I wanted.

For then on I just started learning more about using & coding WordPress. Eventually I decided to create a freemium WordPress plugin.
