Bio

Amber Hinds is the CEO of Equalize Digital, a website accessibility company and maker of the Accessibility Checker plugin. Equalize Digital strives to create a world where all people have equal access to information and tools on the internet, regardless of ability. Since 2010, Amber has led design and development projects for nonprofits, K-12/higher education institutions, government agencies, and businesses of all sizes. User experience has always been a primary focus of Amber’s work. After having the opportunity to experience first-hand the importance of accessible websites through a blind acquaintance, she founded Equalize Digital.

Amber is a corporate member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals, frequently speaks on accessibility-related topics, and has been featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and CNBC, among other media outlets. Amber leads the WordPress Accessibility Meetup and WordPress Accessibility Day conference.
