Background
We'll release the explore feed revamp in late May, and the reading challenge announcement is live until June 19. This task is to ensure that the reading challenge announcement (or other future announcements) do not interrupt new (T418755) or existing user onboarding of Explore. (T418788)
Requirements
Overall rules for New installs
- The new user onboarding should always be the first thing displayed upon fresh install of teh app, and no announcements for features, syncing, etc should interrupt the onboarding.
- After onboarding, the user should always land directly onto the feed of their choosing (Community or For you) and no announcements should be visible upon first impression before they engage with anything
- After they have engaged (swiped or tapped), they may be eligible for announcements
Specific fix for reading challenge
- Existing user onboarding prompt should always take precedence over the Reading challenge announcement for existing users
- Display reading challenge announcement on second view of Explore after onboarding for new & existing users
- Display on article & activity can stay the same
