Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

Open any article containing images in the Android app
Tap on an image to open it in the image viewer
Compare the image appearance with the same image on the mobile or desktop website

What happens?:
Images appear darker in the Android app’s image viewer compared to how they appear on the web version of Wikipedia.

What should have happened instead?:
Images should display with the same brightness and color rendering as on the web version, without appearing darker.

Software version (on Special:Version page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
Wikipedia Android app 50564-r-2025-12-15

Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):
Device: Redmi Note 9S
Android SDK: 31
Issue only occurs in the app, not on mobile or desktop web.
