OPERAS has joined ALLEA, EIFL, IFLA, LIBER and SPARC Europe in issuing a joint statement on Open Science, in the context of the consultation on the European Research Area Act. Together, the six organisations represent thousands of European universities, research-performing organisations, libraries, scholarly infrastructures and academies of sciences and humanities.

We are deeply honoured to announce that OPERAS was appointed as new Host Secretariat of cOAlitionS. OPERAS shares cOAlition S’ commitment to full and immediate Open Access and has a long-standing role in strengthening open scholarly communication in Europe through community building, policy coordination, and shared infrastructure.

We are pleased to announce PRIME – Progressing the Research Infrastructure towards Maturity & ERIC Status, a new project that marks a decisive step in the consolidation of OPERAS as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC).
