Milano Cortina 2026 was guided by a vision that celebrated Olympic and Paralympic values through the energy of contemporary Italian culture, promoting a more active life and a brighter, more sustainable future.

Its mission was to deliver an innovative model for the Games, inspired by the dynamic energy of the Italian spirit, and to create meaningful opportunities for younger generations through sport.

The Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 took place in Italy from 6 to 22 February 2026. Held across 15 competition venues, the Games featured 16 sport disciplines and brought together more than 3,500 athletes from 93 countries. Milano Cortina 2026 marked the Olympic debut of ski mountaineering and introduced new events to the Winter Olympic programme. Hosted across Milano, Cortina and other venues in northern Italy, the Games showcased elite winter sport in a multi-city format rooted in the country’s strong winter sports tradition.
