My purpose, my day-to-day to make a living. But photography/videography takes time to build. And I just can’t seem to find the time while working full-time, but I don’t have the money to quit.

Finished a concert photography gig and can’t stop thinking about another crew member by Stoneandwood20 in dating_advice

Ah dude, that would be the clear thing to do. I just hope it doesn’t also impact my chances for further work if I go in too quickly and intensely! Karaoke… now that’s a good idea.

Godox stuff looks good. I do have a Godox V1 so could sync them all together, right?

Yep. It wouldn’t work with a Canon version. It was really annoying. Should it?

Which gimbal for iPhone 15 Pro Max allows me to shoot Log in Camera while also keeping features (no need for native gimbal app) by Stoneandwood20 in iphone

[–]Stoneandwood20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I had planned to based on the ability to overlay LUTs to see the resulting image in real time.

The challenge I am facing is: which gimbal will still be stabilised and allow me to use the most amount of features when shooting FROM the Blackmagic app.

A challenge to leave a broken soul in another country, I’m 25, she’s 20. by Stoneandwood20 in relationship_advice

Thank you for responding! It’s challenging because she won’t accept that I don’t love her anymore. She can’t seem to understand it. Anyway, onwards and upwards - I’ll find the right time to be honest. All the best to you also!!!

I should also note that she is like a best friend. It’s genuinely because I just absolutely do not want to hurt someone who doesn’t want to be hurt. She doesn’t understand how to be best friends - she can only be lovers.

Questions about wildlife photography. See comment below. Examples to clarify various frustrations. by [deleted] in wildlifephotography

I currently own an Fuji XT4 with Fujinon 100-400mm f4.5-5.6, 95% of the time using a 1.4x teleconverter. I can’t seem to be happy with my photos. Could anyone advise me on a few tips?

  • Always slightly off focus. Yes, I sometimes do shoot with a little bit too low of a shutter speed but not all the time, yet my photos are never tack sharp. Are there any settings in camera I should be reviewing as I can honestly never hit clean focus. I always use AF-S, lock on using AF then fine tune manually if need be.

  • Should I have IS turned on in camera AND in lens? Will that effect images?

  • Does a teleconverter massively effect image quality? Some people say no, some people say yes.

  • How can I get a little closer to wildlife? Is it about wearing the right gear?

Honestly, I just need little bits of advice here and there. I really want to follow through with getting into travel photography, particularly wildlife but the frustrations of never hitting focus, however hard I try, is starting to make me want to switch back to other lenses for a while.

Sorry for the rant, and I’m probably being dramatic - I understand it takes years of practice to get good. I’ve only been going for 3 months.

You can follow my instagram @burmanimal if you want to see some of the shots I consider ok. Any feedback on those would be fantastic too - people are too nice.

Thanks!

PLEASE HELP: First roll of Hasselblad 500CM developed (at local Snappy Snaps) seem almost stretched, digitally altered, blurry and NOTHING in focus. Horrible to look at. Is this me, or the developing? Any tips? Have I over/underexposed? by Stoneandwood20 in hasselblad

Thanks! I have done, and the negatives are extremely blue and faded, it’s almost impossible again to make out the photo.

I’ve actually created another post - you can see a couple on there.
