I agree that this was the best poster of the whole residency! It’s based on a group photo from the Tragic Kingdom Era- but I love how you incorporated a few details from other eras of their career! Gwen has the pink streaks in her hair from Return of Saturn, and Adrian is wearing the Rock Steady rings!

Good advice. I’m in the same boat as you. I’m hoping to retire at 55- 9 years from now. Although my net worth is just under 1 million. I’m a single guy with moderate living expenses. My goal is to retire with at least 2 million. I’m hoping my investment will double within the next 9 years.

Wow, I had no idea!!! That could be one of the causes yes. I also had some friends who immigrated from Brazil and did their DMV driving test- their instructor offered to automatically pass them for $200 cash under the table. So I know that some unqualified drivers are automatically passing if they have the cash

I definitely don’t blame him for being mad either. But waiting till the last second to swoop in is just the luck of the draw- sometimes you’ll get in, sometimes you’ll miss your exit.

That lane is backed up everyday regardless of how we drive. Not letting them in discourages them from trying to cut in everyday in that same spot- worse thing that happens is they miss their exit or slow down and merge behind. Simply not adjusting my speed for them is not as dangerous and risky as you suggest.

Wow, that’s crazy! But that’s smart that you kept your child rear facing in the car. Glad you’re ok. Hopefully the residual effects are minor. My only residual effect from these accidents is some anxiety. Sometimes when I drive thru an intersection I relive the moment of impact in my head- the sound, the smell of the airbag, the whiplash. It’s still so clear in my mind.

Exactly! I drove the same car for 17 years without a problem. But since Covid I’ve had 3 cars wrecked and 3 minor collisions with plenty of close calls.

Right- that one was my fault for reacting too late. I’ve witnessed so much driving around in OC. Especially in my work van which doesn’t have a dash cam.

yes that’s right. Sometimes I won’t let them in, just to make a point. I’ll make it difficult for them- not for the sake of being a jerk but to discourage them from doing it everyday on their commute. When they keep trying to edge their way over into my lane, I’ll usually let them win because it’s not worth risking a collision.

That’s right. These clips are not showing my normal driving habits- just the situations I occasionally get into. 95% of the time I’m very careful and courteous to other drivers and my daily commutes are uneventful.

yes, absolutely. I think the same way about these drivers. I’ve seen them make some very reckless and dangerous lane changes to get onto the interchange at the last second. This is on my daily commute so I see it all the time.

No serious injuries- thanks for asking! My insurance is not crazy expensive because I have a perfect driving record, and 30+ years with the same company, plus we get a few different discounts.
