I agree! Fruit fusion would fit right in at Ulta. I feel like most people - especially younger people - will skip right past the B&BW display at Ulta.

Same! I'm sure they won't have the same sales and you won't get points at B&BW. I know Ulta has a really nice rewards system, but I can't see it working out better to pay the extra $$ there vs getting things on sale at B&BW.

Ohh, that sucks!! I would be really annoyed by that. Ever since I got an FFM that leaked everywhere when I sprayed it, and another without a straw in it, I test the ones I’m going to buy in the store before I buy them. I only do this if I’m 100% going to buy it myself but I test it before leaving the store so I don’t have to go back. I learned this the hard way…

I never spray them in the cap though, not even my own at home. I don’t want the moisture in the cap because it won’t evaporate.

So I just tested this out with high hopes, but sadly, fireworks inside the house or on the porch won't go off. 😢 The ones outside did though - really cool Easter egg for sure!

This. They manufactured a smaller quantity of Midnight Marshmallow so it would sell out quickly, to encourage FOMO and panic-buying of stuff at full price before it sells out. And like you said, it's working beautifully for them, there are now many more people who will be willing to pay full price for stuff in the future, so they don't miss out.

100%. This is their new marketing strategy. Certain items will be released with the intention of having limited stock and selling out quickly, to encourage people to buy it right away and pay full price for it before it sells out.

Absolutely, I 100% agree with you. There have always been products here and there that ended up being popular and sold out quickly (anyone remember the first year the witch hand single wick candle holder came out?!), but it feels like they are deliberately going out of their way to cultivate FOMO and encouraging people to buy stuff NOW, at full-price, while it's still available.

It's especially obvious since they're doing it with body care now. There were the three mini Everyday Luxuries that were online only, and they marketed them as "viral on Tik Tok" and "likely to sell out quickly," which is a dead giveaway of what they're angling for these days.

I suspect this is probably going to be a successful marketing strategy for them, but I personally hate it. I don't like artificial scarcity and FOMO. I don't feel happy or special when I manage to "score" a rare item, I would prefer that they manufacture enough that everyone can find it and enjoy it. These days, I'm over it, and I'm not going to drive all over the area to visit multiple stores or set my alarm for the middle of the night to try and get a candle or body spray or whatever. It's not worth it to me and I'm not interested in supporting it. And I'm DEFINITELY not interested in paying full price for this stuff!

Yes, I absolutely feel this way. It's like I'm afraid to be alone with my own thoughts at any time, so I constantly have some type of input coming in. I'm scrolling or listening to music or an audiobook or reading a book or playing a game or watching something or otherwise just doing SOMEthing, anything, so that I'm not stuck alone with myself.

I absolutely agree. It's very easy for me to overspend at B&BW because the items are so affordable when they're on sale and you have a coupon. It's SO easy to say "But this is a great price!" and buy more than you will use.

Same! I've never bought an EOS item myself (other than the little egg-shaped lip balms, years ago), but I immediately thought of that brand when I saw this packaging.

It seems that is the direction B&BW is wanting to go right now. They are seeming to put a lot of focus on duping other brands - the everyday luxuries line, the EOS-esque packaging for this line, and the new flat hand sanitizer sprays that are coming.

The "sale prices" on the single wicks this SAS are crazy to me. I burn them in my bedroom, which is pretty small, and most of them have enough throw for a small room. But they are weak enough that I only buy them at $6 max, or else use rewards for them. $8 for SAS feels really high.

I agree... I wish they'd make actual Pumpkin Carving body care, I think that would be fantastic. I like Ghoul Friend and Vampire Blood but they don't feel like Halloween to me at all.

Also, maybe not in body care, but I would love candles of candy corn and licorice.
