At its plenary meeting on 26 Sep 2014, ITU-T SG17 noted that, according to an agreement co-signed by the "Ministère de la Poste et des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication (MPTIC)" (Administration representing Algeria in the ITU) and by the "Institut Algérien de NORmalisation (IANOR)" (organization representing Algeria in ISO), the "Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Télécommunications" is the registration authority for this OID.
