Northern Premier Cricket League

We are a cricket league in the North West of England, designated as an ECB Premier League in 2000. However prior to that date we were known as the Northern Cricket League because their was no normal feeder league and no automatic relegation and promotion. The ECB suggested on several occasions that the Leagues Premier League status might be withdrawn. However from 2017, the Palace Shield became the Northern Premier Leagues feeder league with promotion and relegation taking place at the end of the 2017 season.
