An administrator, or sysop (abbreviation of "system operator") is a user with special rights to assist in the operation and maintenance of the wiki. Promotion to this role is typically granted only to experienced staff members, but is sometimes granted on a temporary basis to trusted users or bots who require permissions to support staff with specific tasks.
On Nookipedia, administrators are responsible for resolving disputes, enforcing rules and policies, and executing maintenance tasks such as deleting, merging, or achiving pages. They are empowered to issue warnings and block users who are disruptive or violate rules. Administrators are granted rights to modify the abuse filters, manage system log entries, and edit system messages. They are also able to utilise special tools to perform mass maintenance tasks, such as replacing text strings, or deleting a large number of pages at once.
