Mineru is a snooty deer villager who was added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons as part of the 3.0 Free Update on January 15, 2026. She is based on the character of the same name from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and can be invited to the player's island by scanning one of several compatible The Legend of Zelda amiibo.[1] She is one of two The Legend of Zelda villagers in New Horizons, the other being Tulin. Her catchphrase, "construct", refers to a type of robot from Tears of the Kingdom which Mineru is known for creating. Her birthday, May 12th, references the release date of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
In New Horizons, Mineru has the education hobby and can be seen wearing rimmed glasses, reading a novel while outside, and using a magnifying glass when near certain objects.
Characteristics
Appearance
Mineru is a gray deer, an adaptation of her appearance as a member of the animal-like Zonai tribe in The Legend of Zelda series. She has white on the top of her head, representing hair swept to one side. Her eyelids, nose, and insides of her ears are purple. There are three gold markings below each eye, a closed golden third eyelid on her forehead that opens during certain expressions[2], and a white teardrop marking below it. Her third eyelid opens when she expresses surprise, revealing a purple iris. She wears a green headpiece based on an owl with gold and white accents.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the snooty personality. For more information, click here.
Mineru has a snooty personality. She will appear uptown, classy, and chic. With this, she will appear rude, belittling and snobbish when talking to others, usually criticizing their dress sense or fashion. She is able to get on with cranky, big sister, smug, normal, and other snooty villagers. She will have her fitness questioned by a jock villager.
