Profile
Hugh has a little "issue." He loves his food like nobody's business. But every time he eats a big meal, he becomes so sleepy that he has to lie down and nod off. Why, the last time he went on a picnic, he fell asleep on the side of the road!

224 Hugh is a Series 4 Animal Crossing-e Character Card. It can be scanned in Animal Crossing at the e-Reader Transfer Machine in the post office to receive a letter and gift from Hugh, or on the Game Boy Advance by itself to display a different letter. The password on the card can also be sent in a letter to receive a letter and gift.

Scanning in Animal Crossing

Scanning this card at the e-Reader Transfer Machine in the post office causes Hugh to immediately send the player a letter that contains a kiddie stereo. The letter reads:

Dear <player>,
I just can't rid of my middle!
And I'm beginning to think I
waddle! So I'm going to
aerobics every morning at the
Wishing Well with Officer
Copper. Wanna join me?

Your little porker, Hugh

Mailing the password

Typing the password printed on the card into a letter and mailing it to any villager causes Hugh to send the player a letter that contains a kiddie couch after two more days of playing. The letter reads:

My friend <player>,
The other day, I went
to your place and ate
jelly doughnuts. It was
just a dream, but thanks
anyway. Here, take this
kiddie couch!

Dreamin' all day! ーHugh

If the player mails the password to Hugh specifically, there is a 60% chance they will instead send them a different letter with one of eight NES games: Balloon Fight, Clu Clu Land, DK Jr MATH, Donkey Kong, Excitebike, Golf, Pinball, or Tennis.

Scanning on the Game Boy Advance

Scanning this card while the Game Boy Advance is not connected to Animal Crossing displays the following message from Hugh:

Before I roll out of
bed, I gobble down a
doughnut. And you know
I can't eat just one.
So after 15 or 16
more, I get out of bed
and make a good well-
rounded breakfast.
The only problem is,
snortle, all this food
makes me sleepy!
