Thanks for the kind words! I have another similar anime interest stack titled "Controversy" although that one has slightly more to do with behind the scenes drama than criminality. Unfortunately I don't have an X (nor do I want one) so threads on that website don't load for me. If you could just point me in the direction of entries I might be missing it would be much appropriated.

Hello! So, having read about your stick about manga that are on par/superior to the source material, I have a few suggestions, some of them are my opinion though.

Hidamari Sketch - Adds a new character (Chika, Sae's younger sister), gives a higher focus to a few secondary characters (Natsume, Yoshinoya and the Principal), and the mangaka's persona is present too.

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu - Almost nothing in the story from the novels is skipped, so the story is on par to the novels, and in the case of the movie, it even expanded the story.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - Shaft's surreal animation added to the comedy, with the series feeling like reading the manga.

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou - Asides from leaving the latter half out due to the 12 episode restraint, the adaptation is a great work, it has an incredible soundtrack and animation which added to the experience. I really wished there was a S2.

Kakushigoto - Haven't read it, I'm basing just on what the mangaka said.

Yeah, they went all out recently; got over 100 approvals just last month. I think they’ve switched to a magazine-style approach, reviewing submissions from the same serialization together.

I’m not complaining, but I’d really prefer if they'll do chronological instead. Kinda sucks that older submissions are rotting in the queue.
