The production of this season was adversely affected by the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. [2]
It was only after the followup 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike that production was allowed to commence. [3] On 11 December 2023, after the conclusion of the latter, Strange New Worlds' third season went into production at last. Filming was scheduled to conclude on 21 May 2024. [4]
