The Qaw' class was a type of warship used by the Klingon Empire during the mid-23rd century.

Background information[]
The bortaS bir-class, veqlargh-class, Qaw'-class, and Qoj-class ships all have very similar silhouettes and are difficult to discern at a distance. The Qaw'-class' most distinctive features are the hollow ring at the rear and the broad flattened backs of its nacelles.
The name of the class translates to "destroy" [1] and was developed by writer Kirsten Beyer. [2]
At the 2018 Destination Star Trek Germany convention, an Eaglemoss Collections promotional banner labeled this design as the Tlhapqa' class (which translates to "retrieve"), [3] although the banner still showed the translation as "destroy". [4] However, subscribers to Eaglemoss' Star Trek: Discovery The Official Starships Collection later received a ship chart poster on which the name had been updated to Qaw'. This poster listed the ship's length as 908.8m. The 2019 reference work Star Trek: Shipyards - Klingon Fleet confirmed the latter name.
