Minos, also known as Minosia or Minos Korva, was a Class M planet in the Minos Korva system. This world's system was in the Lorenze Cluster, Sector 21527, Alpha Quadrant. (TNG: "The Arsenal of Freedom", "Chain Of Command, Part II"; Star Trek: Section 31)
It was formerly inhabited by the Minosians, until the entire population was wiped out by the Echo Papa 607.
Minos was a heavily forested planet that could support most lifeforms. After the disappearance of the Minosians, only plant and animal life remained.
The planet was visited by the USS Drake, and later the USS Enterprise-D, in 2364. The Echo Papa 607, a sophisticated weapon system developed by the Minosians, was still active on the world and had killed the crew of the Drake and placed the starship in a "classified" location. It nearly killed the crew of the Enterprise-D as well but was turned off when Jean-Luc Picard tricked it into believing he wanted to buy it. (TNG: "The Arsenal of Freedom")
In the 32nd century, Minos Korva was a Federation member planet. It was listed with other members on a video wall in the USS Athena. (SA: "Kids These Days")
When the Venari Ral laid Omega-47 mines around the core of Federation space in 3196, this planet's system was within the enclosed region. (SA: "300th Night", "Rubincon")

Background information[]
The planet model for Minos was first used to represent the planet Angel I in "Angel One" and would later be used to represent Theta VIII in "The Royale" and Legara IV in "Sarek".
While Minos and the Minos Korva system were not linked in TNG: "The Arsenal of Freedom" and "Chain Of Command, Part II", this link was established in Star Trek: Section 31. Even if not originally intended, it was not contradictory assuming that the Federation colony in Minos Korva was recent as of 2369.
StarTrek.com located Minos in the Lorenze system. [1](X)
