Faster kinetics at lower temperature are made possible by adding a radical initiator, such as organic peroxide, most of the time dicumyl peroxide (DCPO) [24, 28-31], which is able to initiate polyaddition of
vinyl groups [32].
The chemical structure of the synthesized [BVBI][Cl] with
vinyl groups was confirmed by [sup.1]H NMR spectroscopy (Inova 600, Varian, USA) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (IS10 FT-IR, Thermo Scientific, USA).
The curing/crosslinking mechanism is straight forward and consists of thermal decomposition of the peroxide, forming free radicals which then abstract hydrogen atoms from pendant methyl and/or
vinyl groups. The methyl and vinyl radicals then combine to form a crosslink between the participating siloxane polymer chains (Figure 1).
Here, we synthesized magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles with surface
vinyl groups and employed reverse emulsion polymerization for surface polymerization of acrylic acid on the nanoparticle.
The VTMS is a bifunctional organosilane with a reactive
vinyl group and a hydrolyzable trimethoxysilyl group [25].
In addition, a carbocationic polymerization process was developed for the vinylether monomers, which allowed for high molecular weight polymers to be produced without consuming any of the
vinyl groups present in the fatty acid portion of the monomers.
The signal for the protons of
vinyl group of ATBS is not detected at 5.3-6.1 ppm, which confirms the graft polymerization of
vinyl group of ATBS onto polyester polyol backbone of MOD 1.
We consider it is the lower viscosity in ATRP system that makes up its weaker reactivity of the focal
vinyl group. However, above 50% MA conversion, the polymerization medium in ATRP system became almost the same thick as that in SET-LRP, and then the [C.sub.F] in SET-LRP was evidently higher than that in ATRP.
Dow Corning also explains that Z-6172 is reactive in both free radical and hydrosilation chemistry, and has an organic reactive
vinyl group and inorganic reactive methoxyethoxysilyl groups.
The side chain content of D was identical to that of C, except for the
vinyl group at the end of the side chains.
In this study, a fluorine-containing silicone resin substituent group,
vinyl group, and inorganic framework (SR-FVI) was synthesized through hydrolytic condensation.
