Meteor Shower 2019: Can you still see meteors tonight?
Dubbed one of the best
meteor showers of the year, this spectacular celestial event takes place every year in August.
In other parts of Wales it will be hit and miss whether there will be clear skies because rain and cloud are forecast, but if you don't see the
meteor shower at its peak, you still have the chance to catch a glimpse every night until August 24.

meteor shower, it is named after constellation Lyra.
Hasan Al Hariri, CEO of DAG, told Khaleej Times: "The Geminids
meteor shower is nearly 200 years old.
Astronomy observer Ibrahim bin Mohammed al- Mahrouqi, member of the Omani Astronomical Society said that the Geminid
meteor showers are among if not the best meteors throughout the year.
"With the moon setting just before midnight, conditions should be perfect for a classic Geminids
meteor shower this year," Slooh astronomer Paul Cox said in a statement.
The Geminid
Meteor Shower gets its name from the constellation Gemini, because the meteors seem like they are emerging from the constellation.
Dubai: A spectacular
meteor shower will dazzle the UAE skies this weekend, and is considered to be one of the best this year.
In a monthly astronomical diary, the weather bureau said the annual Geminids
meteor shower will take place from December 4 to 17.
