First, there was absence of statistical differences in the serum concentrations of cytokines (HFD vs HFD-FR or HCD vs HCD-FR) for FGF-basic, IL-1[alpha], IL-1-[beta], IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, IL-13, IL-17, IP-10, MCP-1, MIG, MIP-[alpha], and TNF-[alpha].
This scenario is strongly supported by the findings of the current study, specifically with respect to the test cytokines (IL-6, TNF-[alpha]), chemokines (IP-10, MIG, MCP-1, and RANTES), [beta]2-microglobulin, and two of the three biomarkers of microbial translocation (sCD14, LBP).
Chen et al., "Severe tuberculosis induces unbalanced up-regulation ofgene networks and overexpression of IL-22, MIP-1[alpha], CCL27, IP-10, CCR4, CCR5, CXCR3, PD1, PDL2, IL-3, IFN-[beta], TIM1, and TLR2 but low antigen-specific cellular responses," The Journal of Infectious Diseases, vol.
On the other hand, alternatively activated MDMs obtained from the analyzed groups showed a lower level of IL-6, IL-10, TNF-[alpha], IP-10, and RANTES released by HIV-1 + HAART after LPS stimuli compared to control patients (Fig.
Studies focusing on Interferon-gamma induced protein 10 (IP-10), a reduced dimension chemokine synthesized by monocytes, endothelial cells and fibroblasts in response to IFN-gamma [14] revealed that the urinary levels of IP-10 are high during episodes of AR and polyoma BK virus infection, but are not elevated in calcineurin inhibitors toxicity and stable patients [15].
