The paper noted that the
Gopher State facility was housed in a revamped brewery by the Mississippi River and represented the first urban ethanol production facility in the U.S.
"We did not expect instant compliance, but we expect, without question, that the company will meet those targets," said assistant city attorney Eric Larson, noting that
Gopher State has until May to meet the acceptable levels or face potential sanctions.
"We saw strong growth in export sales, expanded contract brewing operations and enhanced cost cutting measures that are the result of agreements with
Gopher State Ethanol.
"We wanted to include as much of Minnesota as we could," explained the
Gopher State's new first lady, Terry Ventura.
Previously he served as director of the Minnesota Office of Pipeline Safety and on the board of directors of
Gopher State (Minnesota) One-Call.
Most of the
Gopher State's prime bear habitat (and quota areas) lies in the northern two-thirds of the state.
Expenses decreased in large part due to the sharing of costs and expenses by the Company with its unconsolidated subsidiary,
Gopher State Ethanol, the company reported.
