Oncology and Therapy

Publishing model:
Open access

Overview

Oncology and Therapy is an international, open access, peer-reviewed (single-blind), and rapid publication journal. The scope of the journal is broad, dedicated to the publication of high-quality clinical, observational, real-world, patient care, and health outcomes research around the discovery, development, and use of therapeutics and interventions across all areas of oncology. The key features of the journal are:

Rapid Publication: The journal aims for a 2-week peer review, and 3-4 weeks from acceptance to online publication. Please note that these timelines apply to our standard publication process. Any deviations, such as multiple rounds of peer review, multiple rounds of article proofs, or non-standard copyright arrangements may result in publication delays beyond these timelines.

Open Access: All articles are published open access (CC-BY-NC)

Inclusivity: All scientifically sound research is considered be it positive, confirmatory or negative data. Research is considered from pre-clinical, clinical phase, real-world and health economics outcomes studies. Submissions relating to an international or country-specific audience are also welcome.

Personal Service: The journal’s team will reformat articles and upload submissions on behalf of authors, if necessary.

Digital Features and Plain Language Summaries: These peer-reviewed features are welcomed to help enhance the educational value of a manuscript (for more information see “Author Information – Guidelines for digital features and plain language summaries” under “Submission guidelines”).

Novel Article Types: We publish a wide range of novel article types beyond the traditional formats, including standalone podcast articles, Patient/Physician Perspective articles, and Summary of Research Articles. Please contact us for more information.

Publication Fees: Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be required to pay the mandatory Rapid Service Fee of €5950/$7675/ £5120. This fee includes: our rapid publication timelines; our personal concierge service providing authors with a dedicated and responsive point of contact and assisting with article submission and formatting; open access publication costs; and other offerings such as extensive article metrics upon request. Please note there is an additional fee for podcast articles.

Metrics: Individual article-level metrics are available on the article page, displaying number of accesses, citations and Altmetric score. Upon request, we can provide additional metrics including geographical readership, citation comparison, and additional digital feature metrics.

Contact: For more information about the journal, including pre-submission enquiries, please contact lydia.alborn@springer.com.
