As a Students’ Union, we understand that the Cost of Living impacts students. Within the Advice Centre, we support students during these difficult times with Care packages, Food and Stationary Banks. University of Lincoln - Cost of Living Support
The University of Lincoln have a dedicated ‘Cost of Living Support’ page which outlines the support available to students from the University of Lincoln.

University of Lincoln Financial Assistance Fund
The University of Lincoln also offers a Financial Assistance Fund to students who are experiencing financial difficulty. The SU Advice Centre can advise students on the Hardship Fund forms from the University of Lincoln. For more information, please click here to visit how we can advise with Finance.
There are several funds that the University can support you if you are experiencing financial difficulty. Please note we cannot guarantee payment, which is subject to ULFAF checks.
When completing a ULFAF application, you may be supplied with a Care Package voucher. Once you have this, you can collect a package from our Advice Centre.
Funding available to support your career journey
The Opportunity Fund is here to support you with up to £500 to help cover costs such as:
- Professional interview clothing
- DBS Checks
- Costs associated with caring responsibilities
- Travel & Overnight Accommodation

Food Banks
The Students' Union Advice Centre offer a food bank for students going through financial difficulties.
This can be accessed Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm and Friday, 9am - 4:30pm.
An advisor will speak with you about your situation and advise on the next steps.
There are also local food banks within the area which you can contact:

Hot Water & Kitchenette Facilities
Students are able to access hot water in various locations across campus. Please be sure to bring along your own cup, mug or flask and a member of the University Catering team will assist.
We have also worked with the University to ensure microwaves facilities are available sure students to use, to enabling students to heat their own food up across campus.
