The song ends, and the audience is cheering. Roxy blushes. As night begins to fall on Esper City, Roxy and Tama head to a bus stop. Roxy admits, "Okay maybe I did a good job but I'm ready to go back home."
A caption in pixelated text towards the bottom of this page reads “See you next time…”
Wooo that's the end of this fun filler chapter. I chose to do this story just cuz I was in the mood to chill for a bit, but I soon began to lose some energy as I actually made the pages. I do hope that it didn't cause a too noticeable dip in quality.
It seems that nowadays at the end of every chapter I find myself needing to go on a little hiatus, and once again that's happening. As of today (the day I'm scheduling this page to be uploaded) I'm gonna be working a real fulltime job for the first time ever. Don't cheer too loud for me yet cuz it's not an art job XD it's an office-type day job to actually keep myself afloat for the meantime. I wanna keep making art so bad but I need some time to learn how to balance that while having a day job. Lots of artists do it, so I hope to figure something out eventually.
And then there's also JumpHero itself. I like making this comic, but I also like making other things, and sometimes I wanna make the other things more than this comic. I also feel like the world of JumpHero has more potential than what I can even do with my current skills and resources. I'm gonna spend some time to think about where to take the rest of this story, but to be transparent I've been lately working out a roadmap to get to a proper ending sometime in the next couple of years. I've always been so sad about webcomics that never reach a proper ending, so my goal for JumpHero had always been to finish it off in a satisfying way. I have so many ideas and characters and concepts that can be used for this world, but the longer things go on, the more risk there is for me to have to abruptly give up because of real life things happen :P
It still makes me sad to think about the ending of JumpHero being in sight, but at the moment I feel like working towards that is the best way to reach a proper conclusion, where loose ends get tied up and you can actually experience lore being revealed the right way ^^). So if you think about it, this basically just means I'm gonna be revealing more lore soon WOAH!
Oh and yeah don't worry about this webcomic ending cuz it's not the death of Uptop and all his friends (and foes). There's so much potential for this story that I would love to revisit it in other media in the future, when I have more skills and resources to make it even better than I can right now :]
Anyway yeah that's a lot of reading. It's been a great experience. Please wait patiently for the next chapter and I hope you love what's to come! <3
