Game description
GOOBCORE is a small rogue-like game, where you have to fight off waves of enemies. Over time as you kill enemies, you will gain orbs to buy new abilities and new upgrades. Over time there will be more enemies, and they will become more difficult. This game goes on infinitely until you can no longer stay alive!

Theme interpretation
For GOOBCORE, we interpreted the theme of 'waves' in a quite literal way. We created waves of enemies that will go towards the player. Over time these waves get more difficult, and they go on infinitely.

Fun little game!

My finger hurts (from smashing), but it was fun!

I like the goofy art. Especially background effects (some noise shader?) as they remind me of some old-school games.

Developer

Glad you like it!

The old school game look was basically what we were going for

It is a cool game. The style is nice and the difficult is enough hard.

Nice job.

Damn. Drum and bass was a really nice choice. Thanks for the game! :)

Simple but satisfying! Cartoony graphics and enemy audio were a humorous touch. Would be nice if I could hold a key to fire on cooldown (to avoid mashing).

Thanks! I was going to make it so you can hold but I couldnt figure it out and ran out of time lmao
