What a beautiful world!! When the light connected, I felt so happy!

Aww thank you - I'm very glad I hit the 'uplifting' part pretty well then ^^

Very beautiful!
What I liked:
- The atmosphere it creates, cool but gentle.
- The visuals are simple but effective. Good color combination.
- The little chime sounds are really healing to me and well executed.
- Ability to interact with the stars is a plus point to polish.

What I would change / add:
- Respawn the player if they fell off the cliff when the bridge is not complete.
- Fullscreen, please? I think it would be even more immersive. :)

This is very good. I like the idea and how it's executed overall.

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback! I didn't realise it didn't have full screen - I'll try to add that on.
Also "Respawn the player if they fell off the cliff when the bridge is not complete" <- you shouldn't actually be able to fall off a cliff other than the intentional drop at the end that reads "to be continued". Do you remember where this happened so I can fix it? :)

i really loved this one i could see this as a full game if you work more on it

Okay, this game really uplifted me for sure ✨! The art is super cool 🎨, and I love the way you can interact with the stars ⭐. The sounds and music filled me with hope  nice work, buddy!

I just wish the game continued a bit longer . It felt polished, but I was really hoping for an ending. Also, the little man’s speed was a bit annoying 😂, but honestly, it added a fun touch to the game’s vibe

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks very much. I'm glad it did its job~!!

Unfortunately I didn't have time to do anything longer. I spent the first 1-2 weeks of the jam figuring out what I wanted to do, so even working hard at it in the final day didn't give me the time to create the 2-3 extra sections I wanted.

The slow speed is intentional, to represent depression in the character, create a contrast with the faster mouse-following orb, and try to encourage a slow, meditative pace. However I understand that slow isn't always mega interesting in games. My plan was to gradually make him faster as he gains confidence, but I didn't have time :)

P.S. How far did you get? Because someone just found a bug that cuts the game shorter (check the game's description). The game should end with "To be continued"

Jam Host

yes I got to the to be continued and haven't found a bug   so I wont consider bugs in judging  because I found none

Is the end the big gap? I can't go further, I click on the little grass things and... that's it, nothing more happens

I'm so frustrated because I love the art and vibe of the game! I want to see more!

Developer (1 edit)

The end should read "To be continued" (you end with 3 runes top left of the screen).
If it ended before that, there must be a bug. Unfortunately I can't fix that until the jam voting ends.
I wasn't able to do a longer game in the time I had, since I started 1.5 weeks after the jam started :D

And thank you! I will take the frustration as a compliment in this case ^_^

Developer(+1)

Ah ok, I see what you mean about the big gap. If it's the gap where the character states "it's much too far" - no, that's not the end. I've figured out the problem and will deal with it when I can.
For now, do not click the green plant on the right hand side of the gap until after you've crossed over the bridge.  Should be ok if you do that. ^^

Thanks for the bug report~!
