1. To glide or move through something or some place in a serpentine manner. The man snaked his way through the crowd, trying to avoid the notice of the bouncers. We drove slowly, snaking through the town's narrow, twisting streets.

2. To wind or proceed through something or some place in a twisting, sinuous manner. A mighty river snakes through the region. A massive highway now snakes through the sprawling suburb, dividing it into two unofficial sections.
