off-hour
Describing or relating to a period of time in which some thing or place is less busy or crowded. Because my shift doesn't start till 11:00 AM, I can drive into the office during off-hour traffic, which really makes my commute a breeze.
off-hours
1. A period of time in which one is not working at their job. In my off-hours, I like to hike and take nature photography. When we have to do these grueling investigations at work, I end up spending most of my off-hours sleeping.
2. A period of time in which something or some place is less busy or crowded. Because my shift doesn't start till 11:00 AM, I can drive to work during off-hours, which really makes my commute a breeze. If I don't go to the grocery store during off-hours, it takes twice as long for me to get through my shopping list.
