To enter the incorrect phone number when trying to call someone on the telephone. A: "Hello, is Thomas there?" B: "I'm sorry, there's no one by that name here." A: "My apologies, I must have dialed the wrong number." Some guy answered the call. I must have dialed the wrong number. A: "It's saying the number is no longer in service."
