I'm planning to transfer this repository out of the webonyx org, and wanted to announce it here before anything happens.

Vladimir Razuvaev (@vladar), who created graphql-php in 2015, supports the move. I'm grateful for the foundation he built — it's what made everything since possible.

I've been the sole active maintainer since early 2021, publishing 109 releases over five years. The webonyx org is Jared Laprise's company with 43 other repos that have nothing to do with graphql-php. Having the project live there creates unnecessary confusion — for users, for potential sponsors, and for me administratively.

Where it's going

My preference is to move it under the graphql org — the official GraphQL Foundation organization. I've opened a proposal with the TSC: graphql/graphql-wg#1973

If the foundation isn't interested, it will move to my personal account: https://github.com/spawnia

What changes:

• The GitHub URL becomes either https://github.com/graphql/graphql-php or https://github.com/spawnia/graphql-php
• GitHub automatically redirects all existing links — issues, PRs, git remotes, releases — so nothing breaks
• The docs will move to https://graphql-php.com before the transfer happens

What stays:

• Packagist package: webonyx/graphql-php — no changes to your composer.json
• Open Collective: https://opencollective.com/webonyx-graphql-php — unaffected

There's no hard deadline. Posting in advance to give everyone a chance to raise concerns before anything moves.
