https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1657965 Finally found SOMETHING in search by modifying the search string a bit. Anyway according to this the issue is with MPD and not NCMPCPP. I tried to do "mpc status" and it indeed returned the same error. The problem is that I'm pretty sure all the permissions that MPD allows I have access to and it is password protected but the password is in the config properly and it allows me to connect (EG "$password@read,add,control,admin". Adding "status" to the permissions list just causes MPD to throw an error and fail to start. I will update this lonely thread when I figure it out. |

Describe the bug
On the time elapsed line, over the indicator it says: "error: you don't have permission for "status""
To Reproduce
Beats me, I don't even know why I'm getting it in the first place
Expected behavior
The error isn't there.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
Additional context
Probably not really a bug, I just don't know how to get rid of it and this seems like the best place to get support.
Everything else seems to be working and I have no idea what this "status" I don't have permission for even is. I can't find it in the MPD or NCMPCPP configs, I searched the internet and this git repo's issues for any mention of it too.
