New York: Law enforcement officials across the US have been seeking information from a Google database called Sensorvault - a trove of detailed
location records involving at least hundreds of millions of devices worldwide.
"Today we're introducing a new background
location control on Facebook for Android so people can choose if they want us to collect
location information when they're not using the app.
'To confirm, we haven't introduced updates to our
location settings,' a Facebook spokesperson told TechCrunch.
