Organize a WordPress Campus Connect event

WordPress Campus Connect helps you bring hands-on WordPress learning to your school. These focused, approachable events give students practical website-building experience, connect them with industry professionals, and introduce them to open-source collaboration. Workshops typically cover topics such as:

  • Building responsive websites
  • Customizing themes and plugins
  • Understanding SEO fundamentals
  • Contributing to the WordPress open-source project

Each event creates opportunities for students to learn, collaborate, and join the global WordPress community, without the complexity of organizing a full WordCamp.

How the WordPress Campus Connect Program Works

Flexible, simplified format
Campus Connect events can be half-day or full-day workshops, a series of events over time, or a series of workshops across different campuses.

Free and supported
All WordPress Campus Connect events are free for participants. The WordPress Foundation covers event expenses (up to $300 USD per campus) under the Global Sponsorship Program

Consistent branding and materials
You’ll use the official WordPress Campus Connect logo and presentation templates to keep things consistent worldwide.

Friendly guidance
Community supporters can help with any questions you have in setup. Feel free to join the conversation now in the #campusconnect channel on Slack.
