In two of the tables alongside I have given the payouts for over and under bets on various goal lines and also given what I believe to be the right handicap line and money lines for games with a range of different goals expectations.

It is surely easier to examine two teams' playing records and say `I think the goals expectation in this match should be 2.9' than it is to say `I think the handicap line in this game should be 2.5, 3 with money lines of 2.02 for over and 1.98 for under.' The second table will also allow you to compare goal lines with spreads, to see where the best price is, though obviously the two betting mediums are different in character, because with a spread bet you can lose many times your original stake.
