In accordance with the Bureau of Weights and Measures (W&M), every time a shopper buys tomatoes, for instance, at a grocery store, the retailer is required to subtract the weight of the plastic bag, known as the
tare weight, from the weight of the total purchase.
Its low
tare weight is up to 15kg less than comparable containers, making high volume distribution of goods such as lightweight packaging, for food, pharmaceuticals and automotive parts, more economically and environmentally efficient.
For more usable internal cube, the container has a flat deck, while its overall
tare weight has been reduced for easier handling and lower transportation costs.
The basic In/Out mode (one-button weighing) is designed for applications in which only gross and
tare weight are needed.
With features built into the trucks to reduce
tare weight, WOA can take full advantage of the 11-yd.
The easiest way to reduce trailer
tare weight is to specify aluminum.
For example, chain and sprocket wear on a belt conveyor used with weigh cells can cause irregularity in the
tare weight due to vibration and settling time.
Features include excellent default readability (0.2g) and a database that allows long-term storage of part numbers with associated average piece weight, description, lot number,
tare weight, total count and setpoints.
Fuel economy savings can be particularly substantial in smaller truck classes because
tare weight makes up a larger portion of gross vehicle weight.
