Some of the downsides to the LCR-Reader-MP include a high test signal
source resistance of 1 kOhm and a moderate test signal level of 0.65 Vrms; this is higher than the original LCR-Reader but lower than Smart Tweezers' 1 Vrms.
The difference between them is determined by whether the power loss by the
source resistance is included in the input power or not.

The driving power, [P.sub.GSQ], is independent from the internal voltage
source resistance R.
The probe contact resistance is near the device output and increases the output
source resistance. If the device driver control maintains [V.sub.O] at the output pad, probe contact resistance values of 5 to 50 ohms would cause measured voltage levels to vary 8 to 50% from the true device output.
Also, these preamplifiers require a
source resistance (photodiode shunt resistance) greater than the feedback resistance used to achieve the specified current-to-voltage conversion uncertainty.
